This is how we boarded the raft to get out to Pacific Ocean. It is not a good idea to chase whales with a rafting boat at Pacific Ocean beacuse even on a calm day the ocean is too choppy for the boat to handle. It does not sink but will get you sick very fast and easy. So if you are not used to choppy waters and fishing, take the whale watch tour with a catamaran instead of a rafting boat.
