The gist of this video is that I had to unplug the loom/wire harness and replug it in to reset the battery after the first charge. I should have tried this first b4 adding the first charge. From my reading that is a common solution. But good news is my battery charged for about 1.5 hours and says it is fully charged and says it has a full life left with the status check.
