Madang Police Destroyed Cannabis Plants Worth Thousands of Kina

Police in Madang destroyed 29 cannabis plants that have a street value of at least 12 thousand kina. The drugs were uprooted at a suspect’s garden on Karkar Island at 9am yesterday (21 January, 2018). They were then transported by boat to the main land and were taken to the Madang town police station where they were destroyed. According to Acting provincial police commander Senior Inspector, Jacob Bando, the suspect whose identiy is known by police has escaped.
