What do people really think of the NHL Winter Classic? I set out to see what some local New Yorkers thought of the upcoming game in NYC at Citi Field between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers. I also wanted to have a little fun and make some made up changes to game (that aren't actually happening). Just when I thought I was ready to give up on this New Year's Day tradition, the fans here reminded me why I love it and why I hope the NHL keeps it going. Also, before any haters say it - yes, I know it is just "hockey." My entire life I have also called it ice hockey. Deal with it.
