This year I turned 40 years old and with that, I was instructed to get my very first mammogram. I wanted to tell the story of my experience so other ladies would not feel nervous to get this lifesaving screening. Having a yearly mammogram can be an uncomfortable experience, but it's over in a flash and can potentially save your life. Breast cancer affects tens of thousands of women (and men) a year and getting this screening is essential if you are at high risk or if you are over 40 years old. I hope this video reminds you to examine yourself regularly and get screened annually.
