Biden refuses to confirm or deny he’ll run for President in 2020

(10 Oct 2018) Former US vice president Joe Biden has refused to confirm or deny at an event in London whether he'll run for President in 2020. There have long been rumours that Biden, who was famous for his closeness to President Obama, would run but he's previously said it'll be at least January before he decides. Biden was addressing the Chatham House think-tank in London and used a speech at the event to hit out at Donald Trump, saying any of the likely Democrat contenders for the White House had a better grasp of foreign policy than Trump himself. "I think there are many people in the Democratic Party that can defeat Trump and not a single aspiring candidate that I can think of for the nomination - and I'm not one at this point - does not have a better understanding in formulation of American foreign policy than President Trump." He also criticised President Putin saying the Russian leader wanted to dismember NATO and the European Union.
