"When I was at school a teacher told me the most beautiful word in the English language was 'cellar door'—and I believed him" - Denis Norden As a spoken word, the sounds of cellar door are lusciously soft. It trickles off your tongue and drips from your lips. "Cellar Door," the song here, is also beautiful, albeit in a different way. It is eerily peaceful and dramatically simple. Using high-pitched string and synth accents, it builds tension as you listen to it and that intensity is compounded by the pulsing bass drum reminiscent of a heart beat.
