Here is how to play a B major triad on the electric bass. The B major triad will be made up of three notes from our B major scale. The root, the third, and the fifth. In the case of B, its going to be be "B"; our root, "D#" (D sharp); our third, and "F#" (F sharp) our fifth. Now I want to play for you a two octave B triad up the neck of the bass. "B" is our second fret on the A string. "D#" is the sixth fret on the A string, and "F#" is the forth fret on the D string. Now we jump up to "B"; the ninth fret on the D string, "D#" the eighth fret on the G string, "F#" the eleventh fret on the G string, and now we have to jump to "B"; the sixteenth fret on the G string. This is the two octave B triad up the neck of the bass.
