DAYTON -- On Monday, thousands of people marched the streets of Dayton in honor of Martin Luther King Junior. The civil rights leader is known for his fight for equality across the nation. At the center of people's minds on Monday was race relations and police. In light of what has happened in Ferguson, Cleveland and Beavercreek -- people held signs praying for peace. John Crawford III's name and face was seen across the crowds. Crawford was shot and killed by a police officer in August inside a Walmart in Beavercreek. He was holding a pellet gun that he found in the store. His name is still making national headlines -- on Sunday a protest took place at a Walmart in Oakland, California. Inside, organizers posted stickers on toy guns that said 'Warning: persons of color picking up this object may be subject to serious injury or death at the hands of Walmart or police.' Oakland police tell us they are investigating multiple protests on Sunday and could not give comment on the stickers posted on toy merchandise. The picture is flying across social media sites like Twitter.
