Easter egg dye tablets are compact pellets of food coloring and some other compounds.  Since they readily dissolve in water, can we use them like crayons or chalk to draw onto some wet yarn that had been presoaked with vinegar?  I wonder if this could be a whole new way to speckle yarn!  In this video, I dyed 100 g of KnitPicks Stroll fingering weight sock yarn http://shrsl.com/xtmo (Affiliate Link) which is 75% superwash merino/ 25% nylon.
