A team of former All Blacks have taken on a group of Thai ladyboys in an elephant polo match.

The New Zealand rugby stars beat Thailand's transgender team Tiffany 7-2 in the third round of the annual tournament in the resort town of Hua-Hin.

Before the game, the former All Blacks performed a Haka, the traditional Maori war cry, although their beauty queen opponents seemed more bemused than intimidated.

Elephant polo began in Thailand in 2001 and this year, at least 16 teams from 20 countries took part. Report by Jeremy Barnes.
