Initial recording session for Eardrum's 4th album "Colonised" Awarded 4/5 by UK Songlines Magazine in July 2015 www.eardrum.net BBC6 airplay from Giles Peterson & Max Reinhardt "Spacy Afro Future Jazz....LOVE!" "Quality album from start to finish. LOVE!" @Dr.Bob Jones "Initially recorded as a pumping live band one-take session, the album has been rigourously edited and dubbed out by Richard Olatunde in that special Eardrum way... the music has the elements of an edgy and often disturbing meeting of many worlds; African, Indian, Electronic, Free Jazz... whilst still retaining monster organic grooves. Featuring vocals from Nigeria, Eritrea and Egypt, the album flicks from instrumentals to a few vocal led tracks, maintaining focus, tight arrangements and drum breaks that seamlessly splay out into deep interstellar improvisations....as with previous Eardrum material, this album has listeners dancing and hypnotised.!"
