Earthquake Faults 405 Freeway Construction Road Cut 2012

This video shows earthquake faults/shear zones exposed in a road cut made on the east side of the 405 Freeway during the freeway widening. I had previously driven by this when the cut was fresher, and the geologic features were more prominent. They had been somewhat aged and obscured by the time I took these videos, but were still very visible. There are two videos spliced together here - the first video (before the fade, 0:00 to 0:54) was taken 8-28-12 at 6:59 AM, and the second video was taken on 9-5-12 at 7:23 AM. The second video starts out at the first fault/shear shown centered in the screen at about 0:06.
