Everyone was encouraged to shop at small businesses Saturday as the holiday season gets underway. Small Business Saturday was first observed in 2010, and it has grown since then. According to the National Retail Federation, 67 million people are expected to shop Saturday, and 78 percent of them said they would do so specifically to support small businesses.
