Q: What are the requirements of the PEI PNP Work Permit stream?

A: When applying for the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program under the Work Permit stream, you need to meet the age, education, work experience, adaptability and language criteria by scoring at least 50 points on the B-2 Business Impact Self-Assessment form.
You'll need to provide IELTS test results equivalent to CLBPT 5, or, if you're below that level, sign a language deposit agreement and make a $20,000 deposit.
You'll need to provide a business proposal when applying for the program, a business plan after you've made an exploratory visit to the province, as well as a settlement proposal.
Your personal net worth has to be at least $400,000, and you need to be ready to make at least a $150,000 investment to obtain control of at least one third of equity in a business, or make an equity investment of $1,000,000 into a business.
Terms of investment must not include a redemption option.
You need to have sufficient funds available to make the investment, operate the business for at least one year, and settle in the province.
You have to be eligible and ready to apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for a work permit, and to sign a performance agreement with the Province of Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program.
You should also be prepared to actively manage your business, and execute an investment agreement or purchase and sale agreement outlining the terms and conditions of the applicant's intent to invest in an eligible Prince Edward Island business.
