In this episode we show you why Canadians love traveling to Washington DC & Virginia Beach for their vacation.

Lyndsay's Blog:

Okay, so let's start this travel blog with a bit of candour.

When they first told me I was being sent to Washington DC to check out all it has to offer, well lets just say I let my prejudices from watching CNN and Hollywood movies kick-in. I wasn't that excited. :(

But my goodness, after my arrival in to Reagan Airport and after being here for just an hour, I went from being apathetic to completely excited.
I only mention this to you, because perhaps many other people hold the same prejudices about Washington DC that I had.

As soon as you get to Washington DC you're hit with a jolt of electricity, and you instantly understand why so many Canadians come down here to visit.

And if driving through the city to the hotel wasn't enough to get me excited, walking through the doors of our hotel, The Dupont Circle Hotel, impressed me so much I officially had Washington DC fever.

As impressive as the lobby was, it didn't do the hotel justice. Once I got to my room, I realized that I was staying at a property that I'd rate in my Top 3 Hotels in the world I've ever been to. It's THAT impressive. Granted, they put us up in the penthouse, but whatever floor you pick at this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

After settling into my room, I suddenly can't wait to explore this historic city. Whatever you think you thought Washington DC was all about, once you get here you'll realize... ...you were wrong.
