Great old BL WCAM-1# 21826 effortlessly climbs the gradient and gracefully speeds past the bridge just before Sanjan station at 100kph wiith the 24 coach long Bandra Terminus Jodhpur Suryanagri Express. This is one of the best and fastest non - rajdhani train connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad in terms of rake cleanliness, good food and no waitlist passenger travelling. Last year in October, I had travelled in this train and we covered Bandra Terminus to Surat (252kms) in 220mins inspite of departing from Borivli 17mins late, taking a 5min unscheduled halt at Dungri and also badly trailing a freighter for 5kms between Navsari and Surat station. The best run was from Borivli - Vapi, 138kms in 91mins with 4 TSR's and we consistently did 98-100kph (Nokia E5 GPS) from Saphale (Km69 pole) to Pardi outer (Km 180 pole), a distance of 111kms.
