The Roland System 500 features a number of classic modules in Eurorack format, and was designed by Malekko in partnership with Roland Japan.

The Roland System 500 was inspired by the legendary Roland System-700 and Roland System-100M modular series of analog synths. Additional modules such as 505 unit are modeled after the classic Roland SH-5 bandpass filter.

The standard Roland System-500 modular analog synthesizer set features the following Eurorack compatible modules:

SYS-512: SYSTEM-500 VCO
SYS-521: SYSTEM-500 VCF
SYS-530: SYSTEM-500 VCA
SYS-540: SYSTEM-500 2ENV-LFO
SYS-572: SYSTEM-500 PHASE SHIFTER/DELAY/LFO
SYR-E84: EURORACK CASE

This Roland System-500 overview was filmed at the Vancouver Roland Inspiration Center in Surrey BC, Canada as part of the Metro Synthesizers Vancouver synth meetup event in November 2018.
