(23 Oct 1983) GS CAS BEIRUT: Lebanese Pres Amin Gemayel meets his Cabinet to
26108306 discuss the bombings which have killed over 200 American and
1"VT+BVU French troops in Beirut. He says an investigation is
underway to discover who instigated the attacks.
NB: In August 1984, the Islamic Jihad organisation claims
responsibility for the incident.
