1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible for sale in our Louisville Ky Showroom. This Corvette Stingray is a beautiful Marina Blue with a matching Blue Interior. This particular 1968 Chevrolet Corvette comes with a original numbers matching 327 cubic inch engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. T his Corvette Convertible includes both the hard top and a new White Soft folding top. For the new body style in 1968, the concealed headlights move into position via a vacuum operated system rather than electrically as on the previous generation, and the new hide-away windshield wipers utilize a vacuum door. The door handles are flush with the top of the doors with a separate release button. "Sting Ray" nameplates were absent on the new 1968 body, but Chevrolet still advertised the car as a Sting Ray. Front fenders have functional engine cooling vents. In the cabin, a large round Speedometer and a matching Tachometer are positioned in front of the driver. Auxiliary gauges are clustered above the forward end of the console and include Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Ammeter, Fuel Gauge, and an Analog Clock. All cars ordered with an AM/FM Radio, like the C2 cars, continued to be fitted with chrome-plated ignition shielding covering the distributor to reduce interference.
