When Kristin was described as "crazy" for hiring a private jet to fly her 300 lb pig off an island, people described her as crazy. Her talk signifies a turning point for us all to trust our gut and to build our dreams as crazy awesome. Kristin Hartness is co-founder and executive director of the non-profit organization, Ziggy’s Refuge Farm Sanctuary. Her vision began in St. John, USVI when she adopted a “teacup” pig, Ziggy. Big adventures with Ziggy and her fiancé, Jay, have led them to devoting their lives to advocating and saving neglected and abused farm animals on their 85-acre dream farm. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
