This is me singing Handel's "Sweet Bird" from "L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato" (HWV 55) in a rehearsal for a concert at SFCM. It is just the exposition/"A" section of the piece. The flautist and I are improvising the ornaments so in a couple of places I sing a weird note (like at 3:42).... Also at 1:15 my flautist's music falls off the stand! :-)

Lyrics:

Sweet Bird,
Sweet bird that shun'st the noise of folly
Most musical - most melancholy
Thee, chauntress oft the woods among I woo,
I woo, to hear thy evensong
I woo, to hear thy evensong.

Sweet bird,
Sweet bird that shun'st the noise of folly
Most musical,
Most melancholy.
Most musical, most melancholy.
Thee, chauntress, oft the woods among I woo
To hear thy evensong.

Thee, chauntress oft the woods among I woo,
I woo to hear:
Thy evensong!
