Every fall semester, as part of their study of the "language of information," my UC-Berkeley and UCLA Intermediate Khmer language students design and videotape their own Khmer-style "TV commercial," advertising a fictitious product or service. This group's project was a movie trailer based (loosely!) on a Khmer folk tale they studied in class, with several contemporary pop culture references.
