The tone of this Artie Shaw song was very pleasing, and by varying the open position of the lid or cabinet doors the bass and treble can be optimised -very cool. The downside, as Robin shows, is that a fair bit of winding is required to play a full song. The heavy, weighted needle also removes a few shavings from the record on each play!
