One of the most influential people in Latin Percussion was a woman named, Tati.  She was the mother of Johnny "Dandy" Rodriguez and helped me in the critical early days of my company by introducing me to Willie Bobo and so many other important Latin music celebrities and her endorsement of me gave me credentials to grow my business.  She was one of the best mambo dancers that ever lived.  She remained a life long friend.
