A Walk Up To The Hollywood Sign

I have hiked up to the Hollywood Sign so many times I have lost count. It is one of my favorite hikes in Los Angeles. 99% of the people looking for the trail head have never found the right roads to get up there. Which is great, it keep the traffic down, but there are still many, many people trying on a daily basis. A good friend of mine once hired engineers and contractors to layout a plan for a tram to go up from the backside of the mountain the sign sits on. With a whole set up for visitors etc. The city rejected it. My guess the people in charge didn't get their payoff. (our city hall is really tone deaf, they listen to no one unless some one is waving cash in their ugly corrupted mugs. But I digress. This is a great hike with spectacular views of the whole city and the Valley. Do it!
