Rinpoche began by explaining that even by making food, serving, with every act of offering service, every minute, second you collect the most extensive merits and purify negative karma and defilements and brings you closer to enlightenment. Rinpoche gave the example of an attendant of Pabonkha Rinpoche who could not read texts, but by serving Pabonkha Rinpoche one day suddenly he was able to read the whole Lama Chopa by himself. If you please the guru with devotion, you will achieve the sublime and common realizations. This is what is it that makes you to achieve enlightenment quickest. Rinpoche explained that it is more meaningful to be learned in the service of the guru than doing 1,600,000 eons of prostrations. If you accomplish what the guru advises then all your wishes will succeed.
