Hanging love locks is an ancient tradition, which is believed to have started in China long ago. Love locks symbolize eternal love and commitment, especially if you throw away the key. In the Early 2000’s love locks started appearing on bridges everywhere from Rome to Tacoma (pun intended). We’re not saying you should hang locks on bridges, but we’re not saying you shouldn’t either.
