CSX Train C711, the local freight out of Kingston, makes a lot of noise and a great amount of smoke as it revs up and continues north out of Athens, having dropped off one car and picked up another at the siding at the Peckham Lead. At the end of the video, Athens Defect Detector sounds off as the rear of the train passes it. The box for the detector can be seen in the middle ground of the frame after the rear of the train passes me. Today's consist is still GP38-2's 2731 and 2771 with a 76 car mixed freight. Enjoy the sound of the rev of the Roots Blown EMD 645 prime movers as well as the copious amounts of smoke coming from the 2771. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on August 28th, 2009.
