Yet again, with the help of the referee, apoel beat AEL. In fact, this was the 3rd time an AEL player got sent off in 4 games between these two teams this year. BIAS refereeing is in fact a key signature of all Cypriot league. It is also true to say that apoel tends to gain the most from these "completely unexpected human errors". AEL had a great presence in the first half. So did the referee. In the second half it seemed that the money have finally arrived at the referees bank account and he judged the game completely differently. On the 57' apoel player handled the ball in his own box. It was a clear penalty. But the referee gave a corner kick. On the 73' Edwin Ouon got a straight red card from the referee, for doing nothing! In fact, it was an apoel player, who hit Dede on the back of the head seconds earlier. With 14 plyers (11 apoel + 3 referees), apoel had no problem beating 10 men of AEL. Let's hope they feel very proud now for this. Next up - Anorthosis. IMPORTANT! ALL THE RIGHTS FOR THE FOOTAGE OF THE MATCH GO TO LUMIERE TV PUBLIC CO LTD.
