Blog-style video about changing lamps in my workbench fixtures, measuring the (silly) brightness in the process , and having the sheer audacity to compare my set-up to that of Dave Jones.

In case you're about to mention LED bulbs, keep in mind that I just changed the colour temperature of 28 000 lumen worth of very wide light fixtures for a grand total cost of 28 € and a time investment of ten minutes. This is largely why I strongly prefer T5 fluorescent lights over LEDs in large fixtures.

Post-script about the colour temperature - I left the lights running for about 20 hours, and they warmed up (pun intended) to a colour temperature of 4100K, which is their specified colour. So it seems that fluorescent lamps start out a tad colder than they will become when burned in, since all eight of my tubes (four warm white and four cold white) did the same thing.
