Nigeria lost petroleum products, valued at about two hundred and twenty billion naira as a result of pipeline vandalism and gas explosion from 2004 to 2013. This revelation as made during a stakeholders consultative workshop on oil pipeline and related emergencies organized by the national emergency management agency, NEMA and the ecological fund office.
