SUMMARY
This Russian film shows athletic representatives from all sections of Russia as they performed mass calisthenics. Reel  l:  Vertical Shot (VS)  Moscow.  Short sequence in which  men and women swam; throwed javelins; lifted weights; rode horseback; threw discs; jumped hurdles; and rode bicycles, motorcycles and speedboats. Russian elevated trains sped by.  Aerial View (AV) of activities in stadium. Mass scenes of representatives of various sections of Russia lined up on stadium field. Joseph Stalin arrived, got out of a car, entered stadium and took his place. Reel 3: Ground and AVs of athletes as they performed calisthenics. Man performed on parallel bars mounted on motorcycle. Group formed a flower on the field. Contestants practiced in open fields. VS, performers went through their paces with hoops, basketballs, tennis rackets, ropes and barbells. Men and women harvested apples and grapes. Sequence of  Mongolian and Moldavian group as they performed. VS, Stalin, Vyacheslav Molotov and other officials watched. Sequence of Mongolians as they rode across countryside on horseback. Reel 4: VS, group performed mass calisthenics and tightrope act. Picturesque patterns formed on field by contestants. Sequence of wrestling, boxing, weightlifting, discs and soccer games. Reel 5:  Men carried rifles through wooded area. VS, wheat fields in Ukraine. White Russians formed a human fountain. Men and women harvested wheat. Ukrainians did exercises. VS, city of Leningrad. Cut to representatives on field. VS, rivers, mountains, countryside and large steel foundry in Russia. Picture ends with mass exercises.
