I was spanked as a kid, too (although my parents weren't Christian fundies), and this report is evidence of my opinion that people should be psychologically evaluated before they breed or adopt.  If you have to resort to violence to control your kids, you don't need to have kids.

If anybody has done any research on Michael Pearl, they'd know he's a lunatic who gets off on torturing kids.  If you read his books, his "techniques" show this.  He based his crap on the bible.  Ever read the part where they talk about dashing kids against the rocks?  How about the part about how disobedient children should be stoned to death?

Also, why is the mother getting a shorter sentence?  Both of these fuckers need to stay in prison for life and Michael Pearl and his wife's asses can get put in there, too.
