Mohammed is one of the many children from Haweeja that contends with the toxic legacy of the U.S. military's presence. The young boy was born with limited mobility in his legs. The interview is conducted by the Organization of Women's Freedom in Iraq (OWFI) a pioneering national women's organization dedicated to rebuilding Iraq on the basis of secular democracy and human rights for all. Iraqis and U.S. military veterans are coming together to hold the U.S. government accountable for the lasting effects of war and to demand the right to heal.
