The email messages you send your customers are critical if you want them to get to know, like and trust you. In this video, I show you exactly what to send to your prospects once they become customers.

This is when you deliver on what you promised. You want to make the customer experience so fantastic, so overwhelmingly good that they can't help but refer you, and will never think of going anywhere else because it's cheaper.

So when somebody becomes a customer, you should move them from your prospect list to a customer list. Because your customers have trusted you enough to give you money, you should treat them like gold, because they are the people who are going to help you send your kids through college, pay for your groceries, go on holiday with your family, and everything else you want to do.

For your customer followup your messages might look like this:

Email #1 - Thank people for ordering and let them know they've made a wise decision, and give them instructions for getting access to their product or service, or the next steps people should take to get what they paid for.

Adding some frequently asked questions is always helpful so people don't have to wait to get access to your customer support staff, and get started right away.

A bonus gift is always a good idea so your initial customer experience is memorable (for a good reason)

Email #2 - Thank your new customer again, and tell them about some of the ways other people have used the product they just purchased to improve their lives.

You can do this as a story, or in Q&A form, but either way it helps to confirm they've made a good decision in buying from you, and prepares them for buying from you again in the future.

Email #3 - Make an upgrade offer that's related to the initial purchase, and show how it ties in with or enhances what they recently purchased from you.

Make the offer specific, discounted, compelling and time limited, and many people will order from you again. When they do, move them onto a new customer list and repeat this process.

Email #4++ - Regularly send your readers helpful information and offers for additional products and services (a ratio of two or three pieces of helpful info to pitches is good) that help them solve other problems they may have.
