Barrett is the United States Military Depot for the M107 .50-caliber rifle and from time to time, rifles are returned for repairs after they have journeyed across the battlefield. A few years ago, one of our armorers (a former Gunnery Sergeant in the Marine Corps), Don Cook, was performing repairs in the Depot and spotted an interesting message on the cover of a rifle telescope... "Lord forgive me for what I am about to do but these bastards must DIE".
