Meerut Cantonment-Rewari Passenger (Milk train) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Train No. 54412 Meerut Cantonment to Rewari Jn. Passenger arriving at Shahabad Mohammadpur Station, powered by WDP1 locomotives from Tughlakabad Shed, at the front and rear ends of the rake (Loco No. 15033 hauls the train and 15052 pushes the train from the rear). Milk cans can be seen slung on window-bars on both sides of the train, and thereby its nickname "Milk Train". This video was shot on July 21, 2011 and, as you would notice, the LC gate remains closed as the tailing diesel locomotive has blocked the road traffic. In later years, the motive power of the train was changed to a single WDP-3A diesel locomotive, and from 2021 this train is hauled by a WAG-9 or a WAP-5 as the entire route is on electric traction. What a change from meter gauge steam and diesel to broad gauge diesels and now electric traction.
