Integrating fashion into technology Pauline van Dongen creates sustainable, innovative clothing. She agrees that technology shouldn't cause more distraction. It's an intuitive part of her clothing. Technology allows to connect with the environment, it can raise awareness and provide new ways of expression. As a creator interested in the notion of interactivity in fashion, Pauline van Dongen researches the human body in relation to its surroundings. The language and expression of the body give form to the garment thus establishing an intimate and personal connection with the wearer. By collaborating with innovators from the fields of science and technology, Pauline aims to bring out and accentuate the inherently natural characteristics of the individual. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
