Here's a demonstration of the Marconiphone 274 Radiogram which I purchased earlier this week. It's a superhet and the price was 29 Guineas in October 1933. The automatic brake has to be fixed. The sound is much better when the lid is closed during playing. The knob on the front is a separate volumecontrol for the recordplayer. With the aerial in the right position it can receive the BBC Worldservice on MW, here in The Hague, Netherlands. The HMV 512 and 540, as well as the Marconiphone 286 are more or less the same.
