First of all, I must correct myself. I thought this engine to be a mk6C, it turns out to be a mk8c (you will see how I know in the video, bear in mind the model No. is usualy clear on most engines!) The mk8c was built from 1924-1937 and judging by the clutch fitted, it is early 30's; I could confirm this by contacting the old lawn mower club. Today saw the engine stripped right down and the clean up is making good progress. I hope you enjoy the video, if you have any questions then please do ask. Many thanks.
