FORGOT TO MENTION: cloth books are great for your babies to have in their pack and play and carseats. A safe soft toy that they can have during those independent play moments. When S wakes up in the morning she has cloth books she can reach for and plays with them before calling for mom and dad. For safety reasons we didn't introduce those till she was about 5 months. Classics: The Very Hungry Caterpillar The Giving Tree Good Night Moon Love You Forever (this is a tear jerker for me though... google it) Guess How Much I Love You Corduroy Anything by Dr. Seuss (my favs are One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and Oh Say Can You Say) Pat the Bunny Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See? Bearenstein Bear series Curious George If you Give a Mouse a Cookie Amelia Bedelia book series Where the Wild Things Are Fancy Nancy Clifford The Big Red Dog book series Arthur book series Thomas the Train book series Other Recommendations: Usborne book parties are all the rage with parents these days. We have a few and they have beautiful illustrations. I think usborne is the publisher.
