Q: What are the general requirements for applying under the Strategic Occupation component of the BC PNP? A: Before applying for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, you need to meet the following requirements: you need to intend to settle in British Columbia and you need to be able to become economically established in the province. If you're in Canada, you need to maintain legal immigration status until the application process is done and you mustn't have an active refugee claim. If you're not in Canada, you mustn't be prohibited from entering Canada and you need to have legal immigration status in your country of residence.
