At 34, he looks more like a gifted high school student than one of Germany's most popular authors. His last book «Die Vermessung der Welt» ("Measuring the World"), sold two million copies worldwide â a breathtaking success story for a book about the 19th-century German intellectual giants Alexander von Humboldt and Carl Friedrich Gauss. Now, the readers and the critics are all the more excited about Kehlmann's latest work, with the simple title of «Ruhm. Ein Roman in neun Geschichten» ("Fame. A Novel in Nine Stories").
