The best part of Mini Tempest Trials is how short of time it takes to get the 5 star reward hero! New Year Corrin isn't an amazing archer but he can play a fine role. 

At only 15,000 points and with only 50,000 required for everything, Tempest Trial: Stepping into the New Year is just free stuff :)

Anyways, with Corrin he's one of those rare archers with high defense and moderate attack so he can do some budget builds pretty good!

What I imagine I'll do for him is likely, Attack/Def, Swordbreaker, his spur skill and Luna/Bonfire. Nothing expensive but definitely good enough for the TTs!
