August 29th, 2009 Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan Event: Asakusa Samba Carnival This is a popular and fun yearly event, but in 2011 it was canceled for various reasons. Mostly related to police issues and the use of electricity. Hopefully next year (2012), it will be back on the calender.
