The European Commission and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) have strengthened their partnership to boost the resilience of millions of people struggling with severe and often prolonged or recurrent food crises around the world. The partnership agreement, signed by Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Neven Mimica, and the Director-General of FAO, José Graziano da Silva, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, contributes to the Global Network against Food Crises to promote sustainable solutions to food crises.
