Scope and Content: Reel 1 shows aerial views of Valdahon. Airplanes take off; a balloon is lowered. Students at Saumur drill horses, load and fire 75- and 155-mm guns, and place panel signals. An observation plane lands at Valdahon and film is taken to a laboratory. Reel 2, an observation balloon is raised at Etalans, parachutes dropped, and the balloon berthed. Gens. Haynes and March watch the 140th and 142nd F.A. position, load, and fire 75's and 155's. Shows various activities at the base. The Y.M.C.A. and artillerymen give Christmas presents to French children.
