The Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue), Sri Mohd. Mahmood Ali, instructed the officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements for smooth observation of ensuing Moharrum on September 21, 2018. 

The Deputy Chief Minister along with Sri A.K.Khan, Advisor to Govt. held a review meeting with the officials of Police, Power, Transport, GHMC, HMWS&SB, Fire Services, Medical and Health, Forest Departments etc., The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Government will make all the necessary arrangements to the including smooth maintenance of law and order during the period of Moharrum, from GHMC Special teams for sanitation.
He also instructed the officials to make additional lighting arrangements and mobile toilets. He also instructed the electricity department officials to take necessary steps for uninterrupted power supply. He instructed the HMWS&SB officials for water supply and R &B officials for necessary repairs to roads and TSRTC for Transport facilities. He instructed the Forest Department to provide an Elephant for BiBi-KA-Alam process. 
The Deputy Chief Minister said that on a par with other festivals  to be given equal importance to Moharrum and allotted Rs.1 crore for making arrangements for Moharrum, Ashoor khanas repairs. 
 The Telangana Wakf Board Chairman, Mohd. Saleem, Hyderabad District Collector Raghunandan Rao, Ranga Reddy District Collector Lokesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police D.S.Chauhan, Minority Welfare Department Director Shahnawaz Qasim, MLCs, MLAs, Representatives from Shia and others were present at the meeting.
