RAF rescue mother and child from raging torrent

This incredible footage shows the moment a mother and her two young children were hauled 100ft to safety by a helicopter - as they clung to a tree stump for dear life. 
The family had entered the water at 2.30pm on Sunday when levels in the River Ure at Hackfall Woods, Grewelthorpe, North Yorks., seemed low. But they quickly became trapped by the fast-flowing water, as Saturday's heavy rainfall meant the water levels were higher upstream, causing the rising current to quickly move downstream to where the family were swimming.
